Looking back, it was clear I was always going to end up here. I just didn’t know it yet.

The story behind Keira Rose Creative
Once upon a time...
My story begins a smidge differently to most designers. Can I tell you a secret? I didn’t actually grow up imagining I’d work in a creative role, let alone starting a business centered entirely around design.
HAPPILY EVER AFTER (SO FAR)
When I felt like Alice tumbling down the rabbit hole, a community of creatives became my fairy godmothers—helping me see the gift I had for design and encouraged me to water my own garden.
Before I could second guess myself, I was handing in my notice and Keira Rose Creative blossomed to life (Don’t tell younger me, her head would explode). Just like that, a new chapter of my fairytale began.
Bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, after graduating university with a degree in Business, I landed what I thought was the perfect job in a corporate role. Unfortunately, I ended up in a story you may relate to too well—a toxic workplace.
I gave everything in this role but was left underappreciated and crying in the car on the drive home everyday. *cue sad violins*

When I wandered off the safe path of “should” and took my seat at the table starting a business, I couldn’t have imagined where I was going to end up.
Through every twist and turn the past few years, I let myself be guided by knowing that the only thing I love more than (or maybe equally as much as) creating beautiful things, is supporting women like you to bring your big dreams to life.

Keira’s Recipe to fill her cup
To keep the creative tap flowing, I’ve got to be mindful about switching off and filling my cup first. Luckily, I’ve basically nailed this recipe to a science.
Preheat the oven. I mean, switch on ‘Do Not Disturb’
Some might say this is a no-no working in digital, but I believe the best way I can show up for you [as the best version of me] is if I’m strict about downtime. Buzz my phone with notifications to your heart’s content and I’ll get back to you when I’m back behind my screen in the morning.
Add a big helping of quality time
A cosy night in with my partner and our fur baby, Mila, or making the most of a sunny day and packing the car to head on an adventure. When I’m absorbed in projects or deadlines, time with my favourite people always reminds me what life is all about.
Stop and smell the roses
I like getting elbow-deep in my garden and getting my green thumb on. I’ve got my gardener hat on currently, working some magic to grow roses for my backyard fairy garden. Nurturing something beautiful with no pressure helps unwind my busy mind.
